The
Program Committee solicits article contributions on all fields relating
to database systems, including cross-boundaries fields. People interested
in participating should send their submitted paper in electronic
form (either Postscript or PDF) by the 9th of March 2001 (new
deadline). The submission procedure is described in Section
"Article submission".
Exceptionally, it is possible to send four printed copies of the
submission to the following address:
Letizia
Tanca
Convegno SEBD 2001
Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione
via Ponzio 34/5, 20133 Milano, Italy
In
order to allow a better handling of reviews, authors are requested
to send as soon as possible a brief abstract (max 200 words) in
ASCII format by e-mail to the address sebd2001@dsi.unive.it
with subject: "SEBD 2001 abstract".
The
works can be in English or Italian, and are divided into three
categories:
-
Original unpublished works, which should not be under consideration
by another conference or journal. Such works should not exceed
6000 words (15 pages).
- Works
that show the progress status of long-term projects, or works
containing interesting results that have already been presented
or submitted to international forums, or temporary versions of
works that the authors intend to later submit for publication
to other forums. Following SEBD's tradition to foster the greatest
diffusion of good and innovative ideas, such works will be presented
at the symposium as "extended abstracts", and they should
not exceed 3000 words (8 pages).
- Works
of students who recently graduated, excerpted from a master thesis
of particular relevance. Such works should not exceed two proceedings
pages (about 1000 words) and will be presented at the symposium
in a poster session.
Acceptance
of works will be notified by the 20th of April 2001 (new deadline).
The final version for inclusion in the symposium proceedings has
to be sent by email by the 15th of May 2001.
